Lunching for the planet

What do you find in your packed lunch? Maybe a tasty sandwich or some carrot sticks?

Eat better lunches for both yourself and the planet by cutting back on meat and plastic in your lunchbox.

Top tips:

  • Bake a homemade sweet treat instead of buying treats individually wrapped in plastic from the shop
  • Choose a few days a week to have a meat-free lunch or cut meat out all together
  • Switch out cling film, tin foil or plastic bags for beeswax wraps or get a reusable lunch box that you can wash easily
  • Google ‘meat-free packed lunch ideas’ for a whole range of inspiration
  • Create a plastic-free lunch menu so that you can choose a main, snack, fruit and treat easily every week to mix up your choices
  • Pack your own cutlery so you don’t rely on plastic forks and spoons
  • Take a small reusable water bottle filled with your drink of choice or water to cut back on plastic bottles in your lunchbox
