Wider partnerships

Creating the Greenest County is an aspiration that involves the whole county in enhancing the natural environment and catapulting Suffolk towards a net zero future. This is a massive task, but on top of our net zero work there are lots of other partnerships working to make it happen. Learn more about some of these below.

  • Suffolk Waste Partnership

    A strategic partnership of Suffolk’s five district and borough councils and Suffolk County Council, working together to continuously improve waste management services throughout the county.

  • Suffolk Flood Risk Management Partnership

    The Suffolk Flood Risk Management Partnership (SFRMP) is responsible for co-ordinating the implementation of any actions required as a result of the Floods and Water Management Act 2010 and the Flood Risk Regulations 2009.

    Coastal Partnership East is responsible for 92 km of the 173 km of coast in Norfolk and Suffolk, from Holkham in North Norfolk to Landguard Point in Felixstowe.

    The Norfolk & Suffolk Nature Recovery Partnership brings together 45 local organisations with a shared vision for protecting and restoring nature in East Anglia.

    The Suffolk Landscape Character Assessment is designed to support work to maintain and restore the landscape of Suffolk, particularly through the planning system and to promote and foster wider understanding of the landscapes of Suffolk.

    The Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape team provide a lead for the conservation of the protected landscape that stretches along the coast from Kessingland in North Suffolk, down to the Stour Estuary in North Essex.
